I. Overview
The Australian Technology and Information Industry Association (ATIIA) awards recognise individuals, teams and companies that have made outstanding contributions to technological innovation, sustainability and enterprise technology development. In order to ensure the fairness, scientificity and transparency of the selection, ATIIA has developed a set of detailed selection criteria to measure the core factors such as technological innovation, industry impact, market application and social value of the participants.
II. Core Selection Criteria
The judging committee will consider all candidates or companies based on the following core selection criteria:
1. Technological Innovation
Originality: Is the candidate's technology or research uniquely innovative, rather than simply an improvement on an existing technology?
Breakthrough: Will this innovation solve a long-standing technical problem in the industry?
Technology implementation: Does the innovation use advanced algorithms, hardware architectures, or unique engineering implementations?
Intellectual Property Rights: Are patents, software Copyrights, or other intellectual property rights protected?
Academic contributions: Have you published high-impact research papers, white papers, or participated in standards development?
2. Industry Impact
Breadth of application: Has the innovation been adopted by industry or government agencies?
Industry leadership: Does the candidate or company enjoy broad recognition within the industry and positively influence the direction of the industry?
Standardization Drive: Does the technology contribute to the development or optimization of industry standards?
Cross-industry application: Can it be applied to multiple industries, such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, etc.?
3. Market potential applications (Market Application Potential)
Business model innovation: Does the innovation have a clear path to commercialization?
Market size: What is the market potential for the technology or product?
Competitive advantage: Does the innovation have a significant competitive advantage over similar products or technologies in the market?
Product Maturity: Is there a commercial product or service or is it in market testing?
User feedback: Is there market user feedback, and the feedback is positive?
4. Social Value & Sustainability
Social impact: Will the technology help solve social problems, such as health care, educational equity, climate change, etc.?
Environmental friendliness: Is it in line with the principles of green technology and low-carbon economy?
Sustainability: Does the technology or business have long-term growth potential, rather than a short-term profit model?
Do you invest in social good projects, such as open source technology, social impact investing, etc.?
5. Leadership & Team Contribution
Individual Leadership: Has the candidate demonstrated exceptional leadership at the team, industry, or societal level?
Teamwork: If it is a team or corporate award, does it demonstrate good teamwork and management skills?
Talent development: Is the company or organization actively investing in talent development to drive the future development of the industry?
Corporate culture: Is there a positive corporate culture that promotes team innovation and long-term growth?
6. Compliance & Ethical Standards
Legal compliance: Is it compliant with Australian and international regulations, including data privacy, intellectual property protection, etc.?
Ethical standards: Are companies or individuals performing well in technology ethics, data governance, AI ethics, etc.?
Integrity management: Does the company have a good business reputation and no bad record?
Transparency of information: Are you willing to provide truthful and detailed information to ensure fairness in the selection?
III. Scoring Mechanism
All awards are judged by an independent expert judging committee organized by ATIIA, based on the following criteria:
Preliminary rating (40%) : Industry experts give preliminary ratings to participants based on the application materials.
Industry impact assessment (30%) : Independent analysis of participants' market application, user feedback, industry recognition, etc.
Final expert review (30%) : The final evaluation committee will synthesize all evaluation dimensions and make the final score.
Public voting (optional) : Some awards may be open to public voting. Voting results may be used as an additional basis for scoring, but will not dominate the final judging results.
IV. Selection Process
Application submission: All candidates or companies submit application materials as required.
Eligibility Review: The ATIIA Review Committee conducts a preliminary review of the application materials to ensure that all applications meet the basic selection requirements.
Expert Review: A panel of expert judges scores the applicants who meet the requirements and shortlists the finalists.
Final selection: The Final judging committee will determine the winners according to the scoring criteria.
Results announcement and award: The list of winners will be officially announced on ATIIA's official website, technology summit, industry forum and other platforms, and the award ceremony will be held.
V. Special Instructions
All applicants are required to ensure the authenticity of the submitted materials and will be disqualified if false information is found.
The decision of the evaluation committee has the final interpretation right, and all the results are evaluated in accordance with the principles of fairness, justice and transparency.
The winners need to agree that ATIIA will publish relevant publicity information on the official website, industry media and other platforms to enhance the industry influence of scientific and technological innovation.
