Australia Releases "AI Ethics & Compliance Guide 2024" to Promote AI Safety and Transparency


To regulate the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, the Australian government, in collaboration with multiple technology companies and research institutions, has officially released the "AI Ethics & Compliance Guide 2024". The guide aims to ensure the safety, transparency, and fairness of AI technologies.

Key Points of the Guide:

AI Algorithm Transparency – Companies must disclose their AI system decision-making logic to prevent "black-box algorithms."

Elimination of Algorithmic Bias – AI systems must not generate bias or discrimination against specific groups.

Compliance of Data Sources – AI training data must comply with the Australian Data Privacy Act.

Establishing AI Security Mechanisms – Preventing AI from being maliciously exploited, such as in deepfake technology and automated cyberattacks.
